Job Title: Restaurant Events Intern Company: The Lantern (Ealing) Department: Events and Marketing Location: Niche International Office, The Lantern / Remote Duration: 6 months (with the possibility of extension) Reports to: Events Manager Job Summary: The Restaurant Events Intern will work directly with the Events Manager to plan and execute events at the restaurant. These events may include private parties, corporate meetings, holiday parties, and other group gatherings. The intern will assist with all aspects of event planning, from conceptualization to execution. Essential Job Functions: - Assist with all aspects of event planning, including brainstorming ideas, researching vendors, coordinating logistics, and communicating with clients - Assist with event budgeting and tracking expenses - Attend events to ensure they run smoothly and provide exceptional customer service to guests - Assist in creating event marketing materials, such as flyers, online advertisements, and social media promotions - Create event timelines and ensure all event details are communicated to staff - Assist with post-event tasks, such as gathering feedback from guests and tracking event success metrics - Work collaboratively with other departments, such as culinary and service teams, to ensure events meet and exceed expectations Requirements: - Currently enrolled in a college or university program or have recently graduated - Interest in event planning, marketing, or hospitality - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Detail-oriented and organized - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite - Availability; mon-fri 9:30-5:30 optional part hybrid. This is an unpaid internship position, but the intern will gain hands-on experience in event planning and marketing in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Any costs will be covered, with the direction of a potential permanent role based on performance. This opportunity gives you first-hand mentorship and experience. This Internship is designed to empower and nurture young talent teaching life and work skills whilst setting career foundations.
