Description:
Role : Hadoop Administrator Location : London As an hadoop administrator you should be able to work with Project to understand their requirements to set up the environment on Hadoop clusters. Project works includes : Attend project meetings and ensure their design is adhering to client standards Creating HDFS directory. Providing permission via Ranger. Creating Kafka topics with required partitions and replicas. Help developers if they have issue consuming or producing to a kafka topic or even connecting to kafka brokers. Help project to schedule their job in hadoop cluster. Troubleshoot any issue they may face while running the job. Help them to Set up Storm topologies and troubleshoot any storm processing issues from platform side. Validate NFT results and provide sign-off. Validate Job configuration for their spark/map-r jobs. Ensure their job is not using abnormal resources. Support any BAU issues during Project Warranty period. Mandatory Skills. 1. Min 2-3 years of experience in Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) 2. Managing Hadoop cluster using Ambari 3. Experience on Hadoop Yarn, HDFS, Zookeeper, OOzie, Map Reduce and Spark Technologies. 4. Experience on Apache hive. Create External and Internal Tables, Running queries extracting data and also ingesting data to hive/hdfs. 5. Working experience with Kafka. Manage Kafka topics, check consumer groups and knowledge on Consumer/Producer config to troubleshoot issues. 6. Good knowledge on how Spark works and troubleshooting spark jobs. 7. Experience on RHEL Linux 6.0 and 7.0. Should have basic knowledge on trouble shooting OS issues.
