Role Summary: We are looking for a talented & creative self-employed audio operator with strong sound editing skills, digital audio mixer, Dante workflow, live calling system and digital audio experience to join our production team. Working on a rotating shift, the ideal candidate will operate, monitor, and adjust audio, video, sound and broadcast equipment to ensure consistent quality. Set up and take down audio equipment for events and live performances as well as convert audio records to digital formats for editing or broadcast. Please note this is a temporary role for 5 weeks Role responsibilities: Production - the recording of all sound on set and/or on location Post-production - the balancing, mixing, editing and enhancing of pre-recorded audio Assessing the acoustics of the studio and assemble and operate the necessary equipment Consulting with producers and performers to determine the sound requirementsSelecting, positioning, adjusting and operating the equipment used for amplification and recording Applying technical knowledge of sound recording equipment Recording sound onto digital audio tape or hard disk recorders Monitoring audio signals to detect sound-quality deviations or malfunctions Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast systems and technology Multiskilled operations included cameras, sound, vision, lighting, graphics, post-production, media management Maintaining sound equipment About you: Industry experience as a sound operator within a live production environment, with a minimum of 3 years' experience Knowledgeable about complex electrical equipment including soundboards, equalisers, microphones, recording equipment, mixing consoles and editing software Analytical skills informing the ability to assess the needs of daily shows Enthusiastic and self-motivated, able to prioritise a daily workload, and to meet deadlines both individually, and as part of a team A good communicator who can remain calm under pressure and work well within a multifunctional team
