We require an architectural assistant to join our team for a 10 week work experience program. Task and Responsibilities: The Architectural Assistant shall be responsible for but not limited to the following: -Communicating with manager to understand project requirements. -Creating computer models of designs by inputting data into 3D modelling software programs -Drafting initial building plans that include floor plans, elevations, and sections -Making calculations for building materials based on design requirements and available budgets -Preparing detailed sketches of proposed designs. -Making suggestions as to amendments of the design. -Suggesting changes to designs based on feedback or procedural requirements such as building/ planning regulations. Role Requirements: -Bachelor degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification is recommended. -Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketch Up, 3-D programs and other modelling software. -Knowledge of building surveying, current planning and UK building regulations. -Ability to work under own initiative. -Access to computer and software. -Ability to work a high degree of accuracy. -Excellent time management and presentation skills. - Able to commit 6 hours a week including 1 hour weekly catch up. -Can do positive attitude.
