Position Overview: Lamington Group is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Sustainability Intern to join our team. The main responsibility of this role will be to collect, organize, and analyze data for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reporting and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting. This is a data-heavy role that requires a strong understanding of sustainability principles and experience in data management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Collect and organize data related to greenhouse gas emissions from various sources within Lamington Group's operations, including properties and hotels. 2. Assist in the analysis of sustainability data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for carbon reduction. 3. Support the preparation of reports for GHG emissions and ESG performance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. 4. Collaborate with internal teams to gather relevant information and ensure comprehensive data collection for reporting purposes. 5. Assist in monitoring progress towards net-zero emissions targets and sustainability goals, providing regular updates to stakeholders. 6. Contribute to the development of sustainability initiatives and strategies to drive continuous improvement in environmental performance. 7. Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory developments in sustainability reporting and carbon management. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree or working towards equivalent in sustainability, environmental science, data analytics, or related field. - Previous experience or coursework in sustainability, environmental management, or corporate sustainability reporting. - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data collection, manipulation, and analysis. - Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, GHG Protocol, ISO 14064-1:2018. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner. - Proactive attitude and willingness to learn, with a passion for sustainability and environmental stewardship. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other data management tools is required. - You must be completing the internship as a part of an educational requirement.
