We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Finance Officer , on a 2.5-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Rate of Pay : £17.00 per hour PAYE Summary: The Finance Officer supports the Business & Finance Manager through the provision of administrative and financial services, including maintaining IT systems, processing & recording payments accurately and contributing to the effective running of the Business Support Team. Responsibilities: Ensure the highest quality of written and oral communication with clients To process invoices/payment schedules on behalf of the SEND Team as appropriate To support the Business & Finance Manager with the administrative systems and further development of them in the SEND Team. Responsibility for archiving and file management within the SEND Team. To support the Business & Finance Manager and with specific data requests. To take and deliver telephone messages on behalf of the SEND Team. Experience: Experience (minimum 3 years) of working in finance Experience of working using ICT/financial systems Please note: You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
