The Payroll & Pension Manager works as a member of the senior leadership team in the Business Service Centre which is responsible for delivering a range of transactional shared services. The Payroll & Pension Manager is responsible for providing operational and strategic leadership for the payroll service to the Council, a large number of schools and other public sector related customers in and around Gloucestershire.The successful applicant will be responsible for line managing approx. 4 staff with indirect reports of over 30. The focus of the payroll service is on delivering a high quality and effective service that meets all statutory and regulatory requirements, with the customer always at the forefront and with an emphasis on continual improvement.Candidate Criteria Relevant Professional Qualification – CIPFA, CIPD, IPP, BCS or extensive experience at this level of work.2+ years within a Payroll/Pensions Management position with experience of supervising multiple members of staff in delivering an effective service.High level of competency in using ERP systems to deliver an effective payroll service ideally SAP.Experience of working within a project team implementing a new payroll system would be extremely beneficialGreat communication skills with the ability to work well under senior management as well as on own initiative If you are interested in the role, or know of anyone who may be, please contact Greg at Service Care Solutions on 01772 XXXXXX or email XXXX@servicecare.org.ukService Care Solutions also offers a £250 referral bonus So, if you know of anyone who would be perfect for this position and they are placed into work, you will receive £250 for the referral once their probationary period has been completed.
