Curated Makers is a fast-growing retail specialist on a mission to make it easy for people to shop from small creative businesses across the UK. Acting as a bridge between big and small retail businesses, we celebrate and support local makers by transforming empty shops into unmissable shopping experiences. Role Overview: As a Team Leader, your primary focus will be delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will lead and motivate a team, to create memorable interactions and your dedication to outstanding customer service will be the driving force behind the growth of the business. Attention-to-detail is a core aspect of the role as you’ll be responsible for team scheduling, maintaining the store's unique aesthetic and managing incoming and outgoing stock from 60+ makers. You’ll be an ambassador, not just for Curated Makers, but for the hundreds of small creative businesses whose products we stock in our stores and will embody our ‘think big, shop small’ values to our customers. You'll also look to build strong connections within your local community and businesses. Key Responsibilities: ● Lead and develop a customer-centric shop floor team through training, feedback and leading by example.● Maintaining a beautiful store with effective merchandising, high standards of cleanliness and strong stock management that enhance the customers' experience in store.● Managing the team schedule and being a point of contact for the team in emergencies.● Maintain optimal inventory levels through effective inventory management practices.● Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication and recognition of team members' contributions.● Maintaining an organised and exemplary back of house area to ensure no barriers to team productivity and effectiveness.● Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, increase foot traffic, reach store goals and enhance the overall customer experience. ● Creating and facilitating a shopping experience that encourages your team to consistently make the day of Curated Makers customers. Customer Experience: You will need a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, leading by example, and ensuring your team is providing a premium in-store experience. Our stores are full of products that each have a human story behind them, and discovering and sharing this knowledge can not only make our customers' day but change their shopping habits. A Team Leader should be motivated by this every day and inspire others to be the same. Leadership: You must have experience in leading a team and be confident in navigating difficult conversations and performance reviews, enforcing policies and standards and managing expectations. You must understand the needs and goals of the business and balance that with ensuring the team’s morale is maintained and the work environment is positive. Alongside the two key skills above, you should possess excellent communication skills and be detail oriented. You should embrace challenges with a positive attitude and with a solutions-oriented mindset.
