Job Role: Hire Controller Location: Wolverhampton Pay: GBP 30, Hours: M:F 8am:5pm / 41.25 hrs Contract: Full time Permanent role Benefits: Free onsite parking Hire Controller Opportunity A renowned provider of specialist self:drive commercial vehicle hire in the UK for over four decades, is seeking a dynamic individual to join the team as a Hire Desk Controller at our bustling Wolverhampton Office. As our company continues its trajectory of growth, this role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our hire desk. The Hire Desk Controller will play a pivotal role in the day:to:day administrative functions, ensuring seamless operations at our head office hire desk. This includes promptly and professionally addressing telephone and email enquiries, providing exceptional customer service, and managing bookings, off hires, extensions, and vehicle exchanges efficiently within our hire IT systems. Hire Controller job responsibilities : Respond to email and phone enquiries promptly and professionally. : Provide accurate hire rate quotations to customers based on our schedules and framework agreements. : Process bookings, off hires, extensions, and vehicle exchanges efficiently in our hire IT systems, while ensuring timely notifications to customers. : Maintain and update relevant systems such as the Vehicle Day Sheet and MID. : Undertake daily and weekly driver and transport planning. : Document the onboarding of new vehicles and ensure all paperwork is meticulously filed. : Offer expert advice and guidance to customers, assisting them in selecting the appropriate vehicle type and variant. : Manage client portals and resolve invoice and compliance issues as required. : Assist in the planning and coordination of vehicle collection and delivery. : Maintain vehicle compliance documentation to ensure regulatory adherence. Experience / Skills required for the Hire Controller : Familiarity with the HGV commercial vehicle or plant hire industry is preferred. : Exceptional telephone manner with strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to evolving business needs. : Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with effective administration, planning, and organisational abilities. : Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and database entry is essential. : Previous experience in the hire industry and/or customer service is advantageous.
