Our client an established Chemicals Manufacturing business are currently looking to recruit an experienced and apprentice trained Mechanical Shift Engineer working a 4 on 4 off split shift pattern of 2 days and 2 nights 12 hour shifts Our client an established Chemicals Manufacturing business are currently looking to recruit an experienced and apprentice trained Mechanical Shift Engineer working a 4 on 4 off split shift pattern of 2 days and 2 nights 12 hour shifts. Key Responsibilities: Mechanical preventative and reactive maintenance work in an industrial environment working on equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, mechanical seals, pipework etc.Mechanical plant installation and modification workOperation of a boiler, waste solvent incineration and emissions abatement plantStatutory inspections - pressure testing, plant integrity and commissioning workThe use of Computerised Maintenance Management SystemsThe ability to use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all worksWork in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems Candidate Requirements: Hold City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent NVQ Level 3 qualification in a Mechanical Fitting / Engineering Discipline - ESSENTIALIdeally hold a recognised Mechanical ApprenticeshipPrevious Experience / Training with MEWP’s, Abrasive Wheels, and Confined Spaces Mechanically would be highly desirable
