As an SEN Teacher, you will be expected to: Plan and deliver creative and stimulating SEN lessons to meet the needs of all children with a range of special educational needsBe able to differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and age ranges for those children with SENDEstablish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environmentSafeguard and promote the welfare of childrenWork collaboratively with the SENCO, members of senior leadership team, class teachers, SEN support staff and external agencies such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists etc. The ideal candidate for the SEN Teacher role will have: Recent experience as an SEN TeacherStrong knowledge of the UK Primary National CurriculumA passion and desire to work with children with special educational needs and be a role model as the children’s SEN TeacherA good understanding of SEN policies and proceduresThe ability to direct and work with SEN Support staff, delegating responsibilities where necessary, as the SEN Teacher, support staff will report directly to youQTS or the equivalent degree to be able to teach in the UKRight to work in the UK Next steps: If this SEN Teacher position sounds of interest, or you would like to find out more information, please contact Carly at Teach Plus Alternatively, please click ‘apply’ and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
