Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a thriving Local Authority, based in North Yorkshire, which is in need of an experienced Highways and Planning Lawyer to join their team.Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a thriving Local Authority, based in North Yorkshire, which is in need of an experienced Highways and Planning Lawyer to join their team.Role: Planning LawyerLocation: Doncaster, hybrid workingContract Length: 3 months ongoingRate of Pay: £50-£55ph umbrellaThe Role:This company is seeking a highly skilled Planning Lawyer to provide legal support and advice across the Council on matters relating to Town and Country Planning, and Highway related issues. As a Planning Lawyer, you will be responsible for the delivery of legal advice and support in the following legal specialism. Town and Country PlanningHighway Law including footpathsCompulsory Purchase. Key Responsibilities Take responsibility for the delivery of legal advice and support in the legal specialisms of Town and Country Planning, Highway Law including footpaths, and Compulsory Purchase.Provide high-quality and timely legal advice to the Council, its officers and elected members.Conduct advocacy before any Court, Tribunal, Inquiry or internal Board/Panel.Conduct all work in accordance with internal policies and procedures, including the effective use of a case management and time recording systems Qualifications: They are looking for someone with 2-3 years PQE or above in Planning Lawideally with experience working with a local authority in the Highways and Planning departmentSomeone who has a good understanding of Section 106 Benefits: Hybrid workingFlexible hoursWeekly pay If this Planning Lawyer role sounds like an opportunity that is right for you or someone you know, then don't hesitate to get in touch with Howard Whitehead via email, XXXX@servicecare.org.uk, or via phone at 0177XXXXXX .We also welcome referrals for this position, where a successful recommendation would be worth £250.
