Bilfinger are looking for a Software Technical Lead to provide technical support and guidance to the Software Engineering Team, ensuring smooth project progress in line with the agreed programme. Main Responsibilities - Overall technical and engineering Software Team leadership- Working closely with and supporting the Software Project Manager in all aspects of technical delivery and scope management- Lead the technical and quality requirements for the Software Team- Technical support during integrated system testing, CFAT and SAT- Review of documents created by the project team- Ensure project adherence to company quality processes and procedures- Detailed task and procurement list development and leadership- Monitoring progress of activities being progressed by the Software Team- Identification of project opportunities and variations- Support the Project Manager in identifying and managing risks and issues- Support the Project Manager in the project delivery strategy development and planning- Identification of deviations from agreed functionality or scope and notify Project Manager- Training planning and support- Mentoring of Engineers- Provide Health and Safety leadership by example Experience and Qualifications Essential: - Strong experience of system specification through design, development and testing- In depth knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs and WinCC SCADA systems- Experience leading a team with a strong focus on programme adherence- A good appreciation of control panels, electrical installation and Instrumentation solutions- A Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Control Systems or relevant discipline Desirable - Providing mentoring to new or developing engineers- DCS- Drives- Plant Historians- MES- Industry 4.0- IT/OT Convergence- Network design and configuration- Cyber Security- Functional Safety- Database implementation- Energy Efficiency and OEE- Industrial Protocol Knowledge (IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, OPC etc)- Bespoke code development- TIA Portal PLC programming If you wish to speak to a member of the recruitment team, General Management Bilfinger UK Limited Temporary White:collar workers Skilled Engineering : Automation
