Validation Engineer : Peterborough (Hybrid) : Up to A GBP 30/hr : Inside IR35 Have you got experience in the test and validation of engines and engine systems? A Validation Engineer opportunity has become available for one of the worlds leading manufacturers of off:highway machinery and diesel and natural gas engines. You will have responsibility for conducting testing on validation test beds to sign:off components and working on 0.5l to 7.1l range of engines. You will be accountable for process excellence, maintaining engineering best practices and documentation. You will work closely with engineering teams to define and deliver robust methods in achieving product and technical objectives. You will also work closely with the GED Test operations team to ensure quality data is achieved. Key Responsibilities include: * Create detailed test planning, execution of testing activities, analysis of results, and documentation with clear recommendations for the relevant process partners* Carry out complex engine validation tests* Evaluate products and processes; perform needs analysis and initiate ideas* Keep up to date on new technologies or develop new technologies* Communicate technical information to a range of stakeholders Required qualification/skills: * Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering curriculum* Experience in validation of engines and engine systems* Experienced in the use of testbed software, calibration tools, emissions measuring equipment and test data logging systems* Hands on engine testing and problem:solving experience* Excellent interpersonal skills (coaching, communication, teamwork)* Self:motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision As a vital member of the team and in return for your expertise, inclusive approach and commitment, well provide a favourable contract per hour rate of A GBP 30.00 and the chance to join a passionate and welcoming team. for this hybrid contract Validation Engineer job, Jonathan Lee Recruitment today.
